This Content Policy outlines the types of content that are permitted and prohibited on craft.wang. Our goal is to create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive community for all crafters while complying with Canadian laws and regulations.

2. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on craft.wang:

2.1 Illegal Content

• Content that violates any Canadian federal, provincial, or municipal law
• Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities
• Instructions or facilitation of illegal acts, including the manufacture of illegal substances or weapons

2.2 Hate Speech

• Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or other protected grounds under Canadian human rights law
• Slurs, derogatory terms, or dehumanizing language targeting protected groups
• Content that promotes or glorifies hate groups or extremist ideologies

2.3 Harassment and Bullying

• Content that targets specific individuals with repeated unwanted contact, threats, or intimidation
• Doxing (publishing private or identifying information about individuals without consent)
• Stalking or encouraging others to harass individuals
• Non-consensual sharing of intimate images (a criminal offense under Canadian law)

2.4 Sexual Content

• Sexually explicit content, including pornography
• Content depicting sexual violence or non-consensual sexual acts
• Content sexualizing minors in any way (zero tolerance - will be reported to authorities)

2.5 Violence and Harm

• Content that promotes, encourages, or instructs on self-harm or suicide
• Content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, or extremism
• Graphic depictions of violence, gore, or torture

2.6 Intellectual Property Violations

• Content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
• Unauthorized sharing of paid patterns or copyrighted materials
• Plagiarism or misrepresentation of authorship

2.7 Fraud and Deception

• Scams, fraud, or deceptive practices
• Misleading or false information presented as fact
• Impersonation of individuals, organizations, or brands

2.8 Spam and Commercial Abuse

• Unsolicited commercial messages or spam
• Excessive self-promotion or advertising without consent
• Bot activity or automated posting without authorization

3. Pattern Submission Guidelines

When submitting patterns to craft.wang, users must:

• Only submit patterns they have the right to share (either as the creator or with permission)
• Provide accurate information about pattern sources, designers, and pricing
• Ensure pattern images do not contain watermarks from other platforms unless authorized
• Not submit patterns that contain instructions for illegal or harmful items

4. User-Generated Content

Users are responsible for all content they post, including:

• Project updates and photos
• Comments and discussions
• Profile information and bios
• Library entries and pattern collections

5. Moderation and Enforcement

5.1 Reporting

Users can report content that violates this policy through our reporting tools. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

5.2 Enforcement Actions

Violations of this policy may result in:

• Content removal or editing
• Temporary or permanent account suspension
• Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations

5.3 Legal Compliance

We reserve the right to report illegal content to appropriate Canadian law enforcement authorities and to cooperate with legal investigations. This includes but is not limited to:

• Content involving child exploitation (mandatory reporting under Canadian law)
• Content involving terrorism or extremist activities
• Content involving serious criminal offenses

6. Appeals

Users whose content has been removed or accounts suspended may appeal the decision by contacting us at craftwang@brennanbrown.ca. Appeals will be reviewed within a reasonable timeframe.
